Full review

Mr Muscle Kitchen Cleaner is the daily-use kitchen spray that doesn’t try to be anything other than reliable. No premium-eco branding, no signature scent, no clever degreasing claim, just a spray that handles routine kitchen wipe-downs at a competitive price.

The formula sits between Method’s plant-based daily and Cilit Bang’s heavy-grease specialist. For counter tops, hobs after a normal weeknight cook, splashbacks, cabinet fronts, fridge exteriors, Mr Muscle handles all of them adequately. The no-rinse claim works on tested surfaces.

Where Mr Muscle Kitchen falls short is exactly what you’d expect: heavy baked-on grease. The extractor hood, the back of the hob, anywhere with months of layered grease, Mr Muscle won’t shift it. That’s why most UK kitchens benefit from two products: this for daily, Cilit Bang for the once-a-fortnight serious clean.

At 47p per 100ml on the 750ml bottle, it’s competitive with Method on price and slightly cheaper for what you get. Subscribe & Save works at the standard 10% discount.

The trigger-failure issue applies, same workaround (keep a backup trigger from a previous bottle).

The synthetic fragrance is the weakest point. Standard chemical-citrus, fades within an hour. Method’s Clementine is meaningfully better here.

Worth a specific mention: Mr Muscle Kitchen works particularly well on cabinet fronts (especially gloss/laminate finishes), where stronger sprays would risk damage to the finish over time. Daily use on these surfaces is fine.

Buy this if: you want a reliable daily kitchen spray and don’t care strongly about scent or eco credentials.

Skip this if: you want better fragrance (Method), heavy degreasing (Cilit Bang), or stainless-steel restoration (Bar Keepers Friend).
