Ecover All Purpose is the strictest eco-spray on this list. The trade-off vs Mr Muscle and Method is real and worth being honest about: cleaning power is weaker on harder jobs, and the per-100ml cost is the highest in the category. But for households where the eco angle is non-negotiable, septic tank drainage, fragrance sensitivities, principled chemical minimisation, Ecover is the right product.

The ingredient list is the strictest UK mainstream eco-spray: plant-based cleaning agents, no synthetic fragrance, no harsh chemicals, fully biodegradable, septic-tank safe. The Allergy UK seal is third-party certified, not self-declared.

Performance on everyday counter wipes, glass, light grease, tiles, adequate. Performance on baked-on residue or heavy kitchen grease, meaningfully weaker than Mr Muscle. You’ll either need to use more product, leave longer contact times, or supplement with a cream cleaner for the hard jobs.
