Method’s Sweet Grapefruit is the surface spray you’d keep on the kitchen worktop rather than under the sink. That’s the entire pitch, and once you’ve used it for a week it’s hard to go back to the conventional sprays.
The sweet grapefruit scent is a genuine differentiator. Most kitchen sprays smell vaguely chemical no matter what fragrance they’re loaded with. Method’s almond is one of the few that smells like an actual ingredient rather than a synthetic approximation. It’s not overpowering, and it fades cleanly within an hour of spraying.
Cleaning performance is comparable to Mr Muscle on everyday tasks. Counter tops, light grease, glass, tiles, all reliable. Where Method is weaker is the harder grease jobs, where the plant-based cleaning agents don’t match the strength of conventional conventional sprays.
The 828ml bottle is one of the larger options in this category and partly offsets the slightly higher per-100ml cost (about 48p). You’re getting more bottle for almost the same money as Mr Muscle’s 750ml.
The bottle is genuinely 100% recycled plastic. Method’s parent company SC Johnson has been using post-consumer recycled plastic for over a decade, with third-party verification. If recycled packaging matters to you, this is one of the few claims that holds up under scrutiny.
